Email copy is a vital part of copywriting that helps you persuade your audience. The best part? Email marketing gives you 1:1 access, making it easier to sell. However, if your copy isn’t up to the mark, sales won’t happen.

I have analyzed over 1000s of email copy. But in most of them, I noticed some errors, in this blog I will highlight it and help you to write better email copy.

  1. Tonality

I see a lot of times, that people write it in either a formal or overly humorous tone, yeah if your audience is executives then it kinda works but first, you need to analyze who is your audience, and based on that write the copy.

If they are Gen Z then write for a Gen Z, if they are above 55 then write it in that way.

2. Writing to everyone

The worst thing you can do while writing a copy is to write to everyone.

Have you ever seen the vloggers on YouTube? they start with “Hey, everyone” No, you aren’t gonna do the same.

You’ll have to write the email to one.
